New Construction Parking Lot Layouts
New pavement is a blank canvas. We work from your site plan (or help you lay one out) to stripe a new parking lot that maximizes usable spaces while keeping traffic flow and accessibility in mind.
What's included
- Layout planning for new pavement
- Stall striping to plan or engineered drawings
- Accessible (ADA) space placement
- Directional arrows and fire lane marking
- Coordination with contractors and property managers
New construction striping is often on a tight schedule between the final pour and opening day. We coordinate directly with your general contractor or project manager to plan timing around when the pavement is cured and ready.
Working from plans and specifications
On new construction we work from the site plan or engineered drawings: stall counts and dimensions, accessible space locations, fire lanes, arrows and no-parking zones. We mark the layout out on the pavement first so it can be checked against the plans before any paint goes down.
At an Amazon distribution center in Carencro we worked as a subcontractor to the general contractor, laying out and striping no-parking zones and line work in the truck court.
Lots without a plan
Not every lot comes with drawings. For an existing lot with no usable lines, we measure the pavement, propose a layout that fits the most practical spaces with workable drive aisles, and review it with you before striping.
Common questions
How big should parking spaces and drive aisles be?
A common layout is 9-foot by 18-foot spaces at 90 degrees with a 24-foot two-way drive aisle. Angled parking uses narrower one-way aisles. Local zoning and your site plan set the actual requirement, and we stripe to whichever applies.
How soon after paving can a lot be striped?
It depends on the material and the weather. New concrete and asphalt both need time to cure before paint will hold, and your paving contractor will say when the surface is ready. We schedule from that date.
Do I need a site plan?
No. If you have one, we stripe to it. If you don't, we measure the lot and draw up a layout for you to approve.
Can you add spaces to an existing lot?
Often, yes. Re-angling rows, tightening oversized stalls or striping unused pavement can add spaces. We'll tell you what fits before any paint goes down.
